What is it?
Amazing Athletes is a sports-based fitness program specifically designed to teach children the basic fundamentals and mechanics of 9 different sports while also incorporating opportunities to build and perfect their motor skills.
Unlike other programs, Amazing Athletes is not guided free play. All of our programs use a specific year-round curriculum that is uniquely designed with specific goals in mind. We are very aware of the developmental skills children need to be learning at each age, and we make sure that every child is actively engaged and coached on reaching those milestones.
What will my child learn?
We coach (Meet the Staff!) the basic fundamentals of nine major ball sports:We also teach key developmental skills such as hand-eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills, cardio, muscle tone, and speed & agility.
Why should I sign my child up?
Amazing Athletes classes promote teamwork, encourage sportsmanship, build confidence, and improve coordination. They also act as a great introduction to healthy choices and active living.
There are numerous studies showing that young people who are physically active more readily adopt other healthy behaviors and demonstrate higher academic performance at school. As if that weren’t enough, there is no other program offered in Arizona that allows your child to learn nine different sports in one class!
How long are the classes?
Regular classes are generally 35 minutes each and are held once a week; four times a month. The program is year-round and develops as your child does. We have some children start the class when they’re 18 months old and stay in until they’re 6.
